Daily Post about 2 hours 1 mins read

Paris Saint-Germain manager, Luis Enrique has backed his midfielder, Fabián Ruiz, to win the 2026 Ballon d’Or.

Enrique pointed out the trophies Ruiz won with club and country during an extraordinary season as a reason he should claim the Ballon d’Or this year.

Speaking during PSG training ahead of the 2026 UEFA Super Cup against Aston Villa on Wednesday, Enrique told Spanish newspaper Sport that Ruiz has a very strong chance of winning the individual prize.

“Fabi won the World Cup, the European Championship two years ago, the Champions League twice in a row, and the Nations League… the Ballon d’Or! The Ballon d’Or for sure,” Enrique said.

Ruiz won the FIFA World Cup, the European Championship, the Champions League and the UEFA Nations League with Spain and PSG, respectively.
