The Naira continued to appreciate against the United States dollar at the official foreign exchange market to end the week on a good note.

The Central Bank of Nigeria’s data showed that the Naira further strengthened on Friday to N1,380.58 per dollar, up from N1,383.88 traded on Thursday.

On a weekly basis, the Naira gained N26 against the dollar when compared to the N1,353.90 recorded on Wednesday, 18th March 2026.

At the black market, the Naira remained at N1,420 per dollar on Friday, the same rate recorded on Thursday.

This followed the bearish run of the country’s external reserves, which dropped further to $49.48 on March 26.
