The Nigeria Police Force has declared two men, Ajibola Obateru and Folawiyo Balogun Alagbado, wanted over alleged conspiracy and murder in the Ikoyi axis of Lagos State.
The declaration was contained in a Special Police Gazette Bulletin issued under the authority of the Inspector-General of Police and referenced Force Directive C.I.D. No. 48.
The bulletin, with reference number CR: 3000/LSX/D18/VOL. 1/68, was issued through the Office of the Commissioner of Police, State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), Musiliu Smith Street, Panti-Yaba, Lagos State.
According to the police, the two suspects are wanted in connection with an incident in which a female victim was allegedly attacked and killed, with her body and personal belongings subsequently taken away.
The police alleged that Ajibola Obateru, 33, conspired with others and attacked the victim before they allegedly made away with her body and personal belongings.
The bulletin described Obateru as a Yoruba male, 5.9 feet tall, thinly built, with an oval face, long nose, small mouth, thin lips, black eyes, fair complexion and pointed chin.
It further stated that he has thick black hair, a high head and high forehead, and “appears gentle” in his habits and mannerisms.
His last known address was given as Ibadan, Oyo State.
Similarly, the police declared Folawiyo Balogun Alagbado, 32, wanted over the same allegations.
The police alleged that Balogun Alagbado conspired with others to attack the victim, who was allegedly killed, after which her body was taken to an unknown location.
The bulletin also alleged that the victim’s belongings were stolen by the suspect and his alleged accomplices.
Balogun Alagbado was described as a Yoruba male of average height, with an oval face, wide nose, long and wide mouth, medium lips, dark complexion and round chin.
His last known address was also given as Ibadan, Oyo State.
The police urged members of the public who may have information on the whereabouts of either suspect to report immediately to the nearest police station or the Office of the Commissioner of Police, SCID, Musiliu Smith Street, Panti-Yaba, Lagos State.
The bulletin also provided the telephone number 08038843816 for information that could assist the police in locating the suspects.
The allegations contained in the bulletin are yet to be determined by a court.
